Soon it’ll be aphrodisiac night at Under Current, with the bar’s second public absinthe education event. Absinthe and oysters will be the name of the game, with ‘spirited’ history lessons and, of course, plenty of tastings.
The evening will set the record straight on absinthe’s much-storied past – it made its way to New Orleans in 1837 and was banned in France in 1915 – and feature three different absinthe brands, two cocktails and three sets of paired oysters.
