In Regards to COVID-19:
We’re here for you, Utah.
These are strange times—besides the spreading pandemic and a shaky political climate, our city was shaken by major earthquakes two days in a row. It’s, frankly, terrifying. We need each other and we need to stay in touch.
So, in a time when we’re all supposed to keep our distance, Salt Lake magazine continues to do just the opposite—bring us together.
Creating community has always been this magazine’s mission and it continues to be so—we’re on top of the latest directives and policies regarding the containment of Covid-19 and at the same time, we’re spreading the news about how to help the truly helpless, keep our friends in small businesses stay alive.
Our website, saltlakemagazine.com, is full of ideas for staying home creatively. Chefs are sending us recipes and information about how they can continue to feed us and keep their employees, editor (and expert gardener) Jen Hill is encouraging us to get a jump on spring planting and web editor Kaitlyn Christy reminds us that the mountains around us are a great place to be alone and not feel alone.
In spite of the necessary social distancing, we need each other. Salt Lake magazine is your place to connect with your community, find information and just have some fun.
Remember, we call this “Small Lake City” because everyone knows everyone else. Salt Lake magazine is part of that. Stay in touch with us, send us your stories and information, ways that we can help each other and—this part is important—make each other laugh.
We’re all in this together. Stay in touch.
