Park City Brings the Funk at Park Silly Holiday Bazaar

Every Sunday throughout the summer, the Park Silly Sunday Market brings a serious dose of funk to Main Street. The cacophonous festival atmosphere is a welcome antidote to the stodgier sensibilities permeating the town’s ever-expanding single-branded retail outlets and upscale condominium developments. Though the Silly Market goes into hibernation each winter, it makes an annual appearance in December for the Park Silly Holiday Bazaar.

The ninth annual Holiday Bazaar will transform the Park City Marriott into a jubilant seasonal marketplace from Friday, December 7 through Sunday, December 9. More than 90 local vendors will be on hand selling art, crafts, clothing, gourmet food, holiday themed items and more to the 7,000 plus expected attendees, and Santa Claus will make an appearance to take complimentary photos with kids.

Similar to its summer analog, the Park Silly Holiday Bazaar is a No Trace Left Behind/Zero Waste Market that successfully diverts 80% of its waste to recycling facilities and feeds all food waste to local pigs just down the road in Kamas. The Holiday Bazaar is free for attendees, and the vendor fees collected during the event go right back into the operational budget for the summer.

Say farewell to 2018 by celebrating the holiday season with a little flare. Event hours are from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday and 10:00 am.m to 5:00 p.m on Saturday and Sunday.
